By 2020 we’ll provide 500,000 skills and learning opportunities; create or safeguard around 200,000 jobs and invest around £1bn in Scotland.
We work with employers to plan demand for skills now and in the future. Our skills evidence base informs how SDS and our partners design, deliver and invest in services for employers, training and skills provision and opportunities for individuals.
We are committed to driving Scotland’s economy and supporting individual participation in fair and rewarding work. We provide trusted advice and support to help employers grow their business and encourage employers to commit to fair and inclusive practices.
We support individuals to develop career management skills so they can move towards education, training and jobs and develop fulfilling and rewarding careers.
We have responsibility and ambition to support equality of opportunity for all. We will work with partners to understand and breakdown systemic barriers and increase participation to drive change in the skills system.
