Whighams Wine Cellars was opened in August 1983, on the site of early 19th century cellars, in the basement of a private residence in Charlotte Square, situated in Edinburgh’s city’s Georgian New Town.
Over the past 30 years, Whighams has grown to become a leading wine bar and restaurant in Scotland’s capital city – regularly winning awards, and frequented by local city dwellers as well as visitors from all over the world.
Wines, champagnes and real ales are served in authentic and relaxing surroundings. With over 150 seats, it is possible to enjoy a meal or snack at any time of day or evening, choosing from menus which are freshly prepared in our kitchens by our experienced team of chefs. Fresh produce from land and sea are sourced daily and seafood is our speciality.
