Towards a cleaner West End – more than 40 pieces of graffiti cleaned
We are aware that businesses and the general public want a cleaner and safer.
We have recently worked closely with the City of Edinburgh Council to put a focus on cleaning up the graffiti in the West End area. Graffiti may not be apparent but our recent audit of the BID area found there were over 50 incidents across the West End area e.g. utility boxes, Royal Mail boxes, private property (doorways and walls) : Melville Street (2), Palmerston Place (1), Atholl Place (12), Atholl Crescent (6), Manor Place (1), Coates Crescent (5), Hope Street (1), Queensferry Street (1), Stafford Street(2), William Street (8), Manor Place (1), Rothesay Place (2), Drumsheugh Gardens (9).
To date, 45 Utility Cabinets have been cleaned up by the Council. We continue to highlight the problem which at first might seem small scale in nature and if there are incidents then please let us know.
